This was a very quaint intimate location... the ambiance was everything!!! I ordered the filet mignon dinner with honey glazed Brussel sprouts and creamed spinach. For appetizers... yes that word I used was plural... rockerfella oysters and crab cakes...(when my wonderful beautiful waitress Adrian repeated everything I wanted we both decide to take off 2 of the 4 selections I had previously ordered...) everything was magnificent everything was everything... the steak was prepared a perfect med well just the way I loooooovvvvveeeee it!!! The spinach um no words you have to experience for yourself... my mouth is watering right now just thinking about the spinach... I would say speechless but would the smacking noise the saliva making in my mouth count as speechless??? The blueberry lemon drop may have a little to do with that which was a perfect blend of sweetness and thwang!!! So most would ask at this point how many times a week will you be back... this place will definitely be in my weekly rotation while I’m here in Albany visiting... thanks for reading and please go partake in this gem!!!

Great food, very good selection of draft beers, and nice decor. Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but give it a try! The Brussels sprouts are simply amazing. Get them and you won’t be sorry. Liked the food here so much I came back a second time!

Excellent food and the staff was friendly and attentive. I definitely will be going back!

While on the Foodie Life Tour, I had the pleasure of dining at Catch—and let me just say, this spot did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, setting the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable culinary experience. First off, the blueberry lemon drop martini was a showstopper—perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness and tang. It was easily one of the best cocktails I’ve had in a while. The lemon pepper shrimp stole the show—tender, flavorful, and packed with that zesty kick you hope for. And let’s not forget the Brussels sprouts—crispy, caramelized, and full of flavor. They were the perfect savory side to round out the meal. Catch definitely lives up to the hype. Whether you’re a seafood lover or just along for the ride on the Foodie Life Tour, this is one stop you won’t want to miss!

One of my favorite restaurants in Albany. The best seafood and a great selection of beers

I’ve passed by this place several times and never knew it was there. Glad I found it. They seem to be known for their fish, but they have other great options on the menu. Ila was a great server, the restaurant & restrooms are clean. It seemed like it was bigger from the outside. No booth seating. The kitchen area is somewhat visible, which is fine. It looks like they have chefs that know what they’re doing back there. Parking spills over into Walgreens. Calamari and fried tomatoes appetizers. 10/10 the batter was extremely delicious. The calamari was 14 and the green tomatoes were 11 which is not bad. Maybe they both could have been a couple dollars less. My guest say the old-fashioned drink was strong and made correctly. The grouper and snapper blackened both 10/10. Cooked perfectly and seasoned well at 35 and 32 a plate with twosides. For quality fish fillet off the bone I’m not mad at that price. The sides 10/10. Hush puppies crispy. Cheese grits have great flavor and texture. Coleslaw was crunchy cold and delicious. Sweet potato souffle was delicious and unique, but pushed like a dessert which I had no complaints, lol it was great. Honey brussels sprouts were delicious also and cooked perfectly. The salad was simple-good fresh cold, lettuce with visible cucumbers, onions and tomatoes. That citrus vinaigrette was one of the best dressings I have ever tasted. I asked for extra to go. Thanks, Ila. The blueberry cake was beautiful, but was it a wild factor. For as good as it looked, I couldn’t taste any blueberry and if I was eating it with my eyes closed, I wouldn’t know what kind of cake it was. It’s too much icing and whipped cream substance and not enough cake for me. at 14, it could easily be more like an eight dollar slice because splitting that with my partner didn’t feel the value at that price. Even with the cake not being a wow for me, I didn’t see a need to drop a star. I was surprisingly still a bit hungry when I left which was odd because with tip we spent close to 155 easily for two people. The bill can go up fast with alcohol, desserts and appetizers. That corner to the left when you first walk in (converted patio) needs a little more light. This place food tastes five star to me and I would love to come back and try other things also. I recommend and would come back to this place.
